Our “Meet Our NH Insurance Agents” blog series introduces you to the agents, one at a time, who serve you here at Eaton & Berube. Get to know your agent a little better, from both a professional and personal perspective. In our fifth blog post, meet Nancy Roy, our personal lines operations manager, who has been part of the Eaton & Berube team for more than 15 years!
As our Personal Lines Operations Manager, there are many roles that Nancy Roy assumes within our agency – and this is just one of the three positions she has held since joining Eaton & Berube 15 years ago.
Beginning as the receptionist and processor at our Milford office in 1997, Roy obtained her property and casualty agent license two years later and became an account manager. After Eaton & Berube acquired the St. Laurent & McArdle Agency in 2006, Roy relocated to our Nashua office where she transitioned into her current managerial role.
As Personal Lines Operations Manager, Roy handles a variety of tasks on a daily basis, including overseeing workflows, implementing and monitoring procedures, training new employees, and helping current employees grow and become more productive in their positions.
“I enjoy the interaction with co-workers,” Roy said, adding that assisting them with day-to-day work problems proves gratifying. “Knowing that I have helped someone resolve a problem or make them feel they’ve accomplished something new is rewarding for me.”
In addition to helping others resolve problems, another aspect of Roy’s job that she said she enjoys is the high level of respect that her co-workers display toward one another.
“Witnessing how our department works as a team by sharing with each other our suggestions, knowledge and experiences is encouraging,” she said. “It’s important to me for everyone to have a voice and know that management is listening.”
“Nancy has been an invaluable asset to our agency over the past 15 years,” said Eaton & Berube President Marc R. Berube. “She provides excellent support to her co-workers and works hard to ensure that our Personal Lines Department provides the best possible service to our clients.”
Outside of the office, Roy enjoys traveling, especially on cruises, and boating/fishing with her husband and two teenage children. She spends much of her free time in Maine and Vermont with friends and family.
Roy can be reached at 603-689-7227 or [email protected].
